3 Sigma’s dissolvable labels help to mitigate possible food contamination issues. These dissolvable labels have been optimally designed to provide the necessary performance and durability, and ease of removal when products need to be washed and reused. The paper and adhesive dissolve quickly in room temperature water with slight agitation. The label will disperse during the washing and sanitizing process, requiring no additional steps to be discarded. Since the dissolvable label is virtually residue-free, it helps to counter bacteria growth and saves on clean-up time, allowing for a more optimized workflow. Also, because the facestock is fully dissolvable, the label is more sustainable than traditional pressure sensitive label options.
